Scripture is replete with BIBLE VERSES that show us the spiritual roots to our
issues today. Here are just a few that you pray over and gain personal
insight.
Lord, I was only
partially healed! Heal me - spirit, soul and body - 100%!
Jeremiah 6:14 They have also healed the hurt
of My people slightly, [partially] saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ When there is
no peace.
Whatever we judge with
condemnation in others, we will reap again ourselves.
Luke 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged:
condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be
forgiven:
Whatever we do not honor
in our parents, we will reap in ourselves or others.
Ex 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy
days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Unforgiveness, resentment
and bitterness in our lives defiles others.
Heb 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of
the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and
thereby many be defiled;
We must learn to discern
with spiritual discernment based on God's truth.
Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are
of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to
discern both good and evil.
Critical attitudes cause
us to be blind to our sins and we reap criticism.
Luke 6:41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is
in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own
eye?
If we have bad fruit on
our "tree" it is because of bad roots on our tree.
Luke 6:43 For a good tree bringeth not forth
corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Whatever we sow, we will
reap, reap more than we sowed and later.
Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for
whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Inner vows made in our
own strength are not spiritual and should be renounced.
James 5:12 But above all things, my
brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any
other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into
condemnation.
A broken heart is usually
the open door for our ungodly beliefs and reactions. Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are
crushed in spirit.
We need to realize that
every rift with others is also a rift with God.
Psalm 41:4 ... "O Lord have mercy on me; heal me, for
I have sinned against You."
We desire a pure heart and
that our spirit be aligned with the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and
renew a steadfast spirit within me.
As we chose to hold our
hearts open to God, He will show us our hearts.
Proverbs 20:27 The lamp of the Lord searches the
spirit of a man; it searches out his inmost being.
God is ready to comfort us
when we are ready to give Him our hurts and wounds. Proverbs 20:27 For the Lord comforts His people and will have compassion on His
afflicted ones.
We can pour our hearts out
to Jesus because He has experienced every hurt. Isaiah
53: 4-5 Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows ...He was
pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the
punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.
When we choose God's
wisdom, our soul, spirit and body are in good health. Proverbs 3:7-8 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.
This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
God's wisdom is embedded in
our spirits as we meditate on God's Word. Proverbs 4:20-22 My son pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my
words... for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole
body.
As we humbly receive
ministry, God is able to give us a new heart and spirit.
Ezekiel 11:19 I will give them an undivided heart and put a new
spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a
heart of flesh.
When we submit our sinful
reactions / patterns to God, He transforms our minds. Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of _______________, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Anxiety/worry is usually
about assuming responsibility that is not ours to assume.
l Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on Him for He cares for you.
We can minister to
others but never receive healing / deliverance for ourselves.
Matt 16:26 For what profit is it to a man if
he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in
exchange for his soul?
Praise and worship brings
healing to our wounded hearts and heals our souls Malachi 4:2a But for you who revere My Name, the sun of righteousness will rise
with healing in it's wings.
When we ask others to
forgive us, God is free to forgive our sins and to heal us.
James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for
each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous man is
powerful and effective!
The way to please God is to
ask in faith believing that He is loving and faithful.
James 1:6a But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering....
God has asked us to partner
with Him in delivering the captives and healing.
Luke 9:1-2 When Jesus called the twelve together, He gave them
power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and He sent
them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Whatever God tells us to
ask, He will surely do for our sakes and for His glory.
John 14:12-15 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me
will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these,
because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My Name, so
that the Son may bring Glory to the Father. You may ask for anything in My Name,
and I will do it. If you love Me, you will obey what I command.
Christ in us wants to
minister through us just as He ministered 2,000 years ago.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday
and today and forever!
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ
founded the church on the five-fold office calls to equip His church.
And (Jesus) Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some
evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints
for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Ephesians 4:11-12
Signs (deliverance, tongues, protection, power and
healing) follow believers.
Jesus said,
"And
these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out
demons; they will speak with new tongues, they will take up serpents; and if
they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay
hands on the sick, and they will recover." Mark
16:17-18
We choose to invite the Holy Spirit to operate in
all of His gifts through us.
There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.
And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works
all in all.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of
all:
for to one is given the word of wisdom through the
Spirit,
to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the
same Spirit,
to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another
discerning of spirits,
to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of
tongues.
But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to
each one individually as He wills. 1 Corinthians 12:4-11
We choose to be
spiritual first, serving and restoring others in meekness.
And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be
gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who
are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they
may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the
snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.
