I Wanted to be
Free from Homosexuality
and
Astrology
(The testimony of one of our former students)
Having been a student of
astrology, I believed that being a homosexual was part of my karma in life. Therefore, there was nothing I could do to change my lifestyle.
I wanted to be heterosexual instead. After being
brought up as a Christian, I had thought that God would answer my prayer to be
set free of homosexuality, but it seemed that He didn't.
I broke up with my lover after a
13 year relationship. They wanted to resume the relationship and I didn't. I
cried out to God, "Jesus come and help me! I don't want to go back to
that relationship and I feel like I have no way out."
As I sat there contemplating what
I should do, I began to see a vision. It was so real, I felt like I was really
there. I felt like I was taken back in time. I was walking down a road and was
so tired that I stopped to rest. I put my hand on a telephone pole. As I
rested there, I felt something running down my hand, arm and onto my clothes. I
heard a voice saying several times, "I love you!"
I looked up above my hand and
saw
Jesus hanging on the cross. He said, "I love you. You don't need that
kind of love. I give you this gift of love, to give to others, as I have given
to you." As I looked up into His face, I remember how blue His eyes were,
and how much He loved me. I looked down at myself and saw His blood all over
me, setting me free from a sinful life.
That day, I responded to Him,
accepting His love and He became my whole life. Since then, I have had no
other affairs, adultery or fornication. I was delivered from all types of
sexual sins and I asked Jesus to enable me to live free of them and he has --
for 18 years so far.
Going
through
Restoration Prayer Ministry even restored my true identity; my very
nature has been changed. Before I could act like I was heterosexual but the
attractions were still there. Now I naturally back away from
homosexuality because it seems so unnatural for me now.
Jesus took the
attraction away! I am not just forcing myself to be someone
that I am not. He has healed my sexual confusion and given me a new
identity in Him. He has given me new desires in my heart.
Others who have received this kind of

this healing is real and can be tested. They have looked at
the same old magazines and been around old friends without reverting back to
the same old attractions.
The good news
is that we do have a choice. We are not born homosexual or
destined by our stars to be homosexual. We always have a choice to
invite the Spirit of Truth to touch our sexual confusion and restore our true
identity in Him. Jesus loves us all alike
and came to conform us all to His image.

truth is that Jesus came so that we could know Him and
enter into an eternal personal relationship with Him. He

and destiny in life.
